Custom bike: how a Stajvelo project works

Image

A Stajvelo custom bike starts with a conversation, not a catalogue. You choose a model, configure its components, define the fit and the finish with our team, and the bike is assembled, checked and adjusted in our atelier in Monaco before it is handed over to you, set up for the way you ride.

Every Stajvelo model can be personalised in colours and components. A made-to-measure frame, with tubes cut to your own geometry, is reserved for the Beau Rivage. This guide explains each step of a project, what can be personalised on each model and how to prepare the first conversation.

Every project is defined case by case. Many start from a bike in stock, prepared and personalised in our atelier.

Choosing the model

The model sets the character of the bike, so it comes first. The question is simple: where and how will you ride it? Whatever the model, colours and components can be chosen with our team.

  • RocchettaA carbon platform for road and gravel, in All-Road and Gravel versions. Configure a Rocchetta
  • NomadesA carbon e-bike for the city, sport or gravel. Discover Nomades Custom
  • Beau RivageA road bike built around a carbon frame hand-built in Italy, and the only Stajvelo available with a made-to-measure frame. Configure a Beau Rivage

If you hesitate between two models, a test ride at our Monaco showroom is the quickest way to decide. It is complimentary and lasts about 30 minutes.

How a project runs, step by step

  1. First conversationYour riding, your roads, your expectations and your timing, at the showroom, by phone or by message.
  2. ConfigurationDrivetrain, wheels, cockpit and saddle, chosen for your riding. The Rocchetta and the Beau Rivage can be configured online, then refined with our team.
  3. FitFrame size, stem, handlebar, crank length and saddle position, set from your measurements. For the Beau Rivage, an optional postural analysis in Monaco can lead to a made-to-measure frame.
  4. Paint and finishesBase colour, accents, lettering and details. For the most expressive projects, we work with specialist painters and artists.
  5. ValidationFinal specification, finish and schedule approved before work starts.
  6. AssemblyThe bike is assembled, checked and adjusted in our atelier in Fontvieille, Monaco.
  7. HandoverThe bike is set up for you and explained in person in Monaco, or delivered ready to ride.

What can be personalised

Colours and components can be personalised on every Stajvelo. The frame geometry is the one exception: made-to-measure tubes are offered only on the Beau Rivage.

Components

Components shape how a bike feels as much as how it looks. On every model, drivetrain, wheels, tyres, cockpit, saddle and bar tape can be chosen for your riding. The Beau Rivage comes in SRAM Force eTap AXS D2 as standard, and the Rocchetta All-Road in Shimano Ultegra Di2 2x12. Other drivetrains are available on request.

Fit and geometry

Most riders find their fit in a standard size, refined with the right stem, handlebar width, crank length and saddle setback. This applies to every model. For riders who want to go further, the Beau Rivage is the only Stajvelo available with made-to-measure tubes, as an exclusive option defined after a postural analysis in Monaco.

Paint and finishes

The finish is where a bike becomes personal, and every Stajvelo can be finished in the colours of your choice: colours, fades, contrasts, lettering, numbering for a series. Charles Leclerc's one-off Roca, painted by Daniel Designs in Italy, and the Nomades Sport hand-painted by the artist Mad56 for our Draw me a Bike project show how far it can go.

Assembly in Monaco

Every Stajvelo is prepared in our atelier in Fontvieille. The bike is assembled, each component is adjusted, and the whole bike is checked before it leaves. The same team that builds the bike then services it, which keeps its history and settings in one place.

Servicing is available at our bike workshop in Monaco, for Stajvelo bikes and all other brands.

Frequently asked questions

Can every Stajvelo be customised?

Yes. Every Stajvelo model, including the Rocchetta, the Nomades and the Beau Rivage, can be personalised in colours and components. A made-to-measure frame is available only on the Beau Rivage.

Can a bike in stock be personalised?

Yes. Many Stajvelo projects start from a bike in stock, which is then prepared, adjusted and personalised in our atelier in Monaco. Personalisation is a service we add to the bike, not a reason to wait.

Is the Beau Rivage made to measure?

The Beau Rivage is offered in standard sizes. A made-to-measure frame, with a geometry defined after a postural analysis in Monaco, is available as an exclusive option. It is the only Stajvelo model offered with this option.

How long does a custom bike project take?

It depends on the model and on the level of personalisation. A finish on a bike in stock is quicker than a made-to-measure frame or a hand-painted design. Lead times are confirmed when the project is validated.

Can I try a bike before starting a project?

Yes. A complimentary 30-minute test ride is available at our Monaco showroom, with no deposit and a valid ID only.

Where is my custom bike serviced?

At the Stajvelo workshop in Fontvieille, Monaco, by the team that assembled it. Outside Monaco, our network of partners can help.
