The "Born in Monaco" bike makes its way into luxury hospitality

Hidden in a lush green setting at the entrance of Saint-Tropez, the Kube, a luxurious 5-star hotel, has chosen to offer bikes to its guests. For two years now, they have provided travelers with the opportunity to stroll on electric NOMADES and simply let go. Today, they are renewing their fleet with two acoustic ROCA bikes, built for exploration. This collaboration was made possible by our partner Locamotions, which offers a long-term leasing solution ranging from 24 to 36 months. We learn more with Marc Leveau, General Manager of the KUBE.

Stajvelo: Why choose Stajvelo ?

Marc: Without hesitation, for the brand's luxury image, its niche appeal, and especially the family history that echoes that of the Machefert Group. But also for the dynamism of its teams and the special relationship with Thierry, the founder.

Stajvelo: Why did you choose the long-term leasing system with Locamotions?

Marc: Quite simply because there is no significant upfront cost compared to a purchase. Also, for the immediate availability in what was a tight market two years ago. Attractive monthly payments, the flexibility of the offer, the wide choice of ranges, Locamotions' end-to-end support, the quality of service, the ease of quickly swapping bike models, and a system that applies to all brands.

Stajvelo: What route do you recommend to your guests when they use the bikes?

Marc: We can only advise them to have fun, but above all, to enjoy a bike they won't find back home. We offer two types of outings: an urban one to discover the village of Saint-Tropez, and a sportier one to explore the Var region and its extraordinary nature.

Stajvelo: Do you have any guest feedback or an anecdote to share?

Marc: A Brazilian guest arrived by private jet, bringing his own bike with him. An accomplished athlete, he had hired a guide to show him the roads of the Massif des Maures and the Alps. He had never climbed mountain passes before this first experience. Unsurprisingly, upon returning from his first climbing session, he didn't hesitate for long before swapping his acoustic bike for an electric Nomades.

Stajvelo: Why switch from an electric bike to an acoustic bike? And specifically, why a Gravel bike?

Marc: We noticed that e-bikes are an alternative solution in Saint-Tropez—for very short trips, to bypass traffic, or for quick errands. In our group's DNA, we are focused on the taste for effort and pure sporting performance; we want to cater to guests who share that vision. Therefore, the acoustic bike was a natural choice, specifically the Gravel model, for discovering the region.

Stajvelo: What are your plans for these two bikes? Any first escapade in mind?

Marc: Oh yes! Heading toward Agay to tackle the red rocks of the Esterel, which promise sublime landscapes worthy of Arizona. Then, toward La Garde-Freinet in the Massif des Maures to cross the white rocks, before following the coastal path from Saint-Tropez to Ramatuelle—a beautiful day of +/- 200km to kick things off.

Stajvelo : Finally, does your team get a chance to enjoy the bikes?

Marc: The teams use them whenever possible for daily logistics; cars are out of the question in the summer due to the time and operational constraints we face!
